Google is deprecating the Google Drive software for PC and Mac as it launches Drive File Stream. The company plans to support the cloud storage software for just three more months before killing it off completely in six months. Starting in October, Drive users will begin to be shown messages informing them that their software is going away.
The UW-Madison G Suite team has received cases from individuals who use Google Drive File Stream on their macOS device and are no longer able to use File Stream after updating their macOS to 10.14 (Mojave).
Users with both Drive File Stream and will be prompted to stop syncing My Drive with the latter. It's a move from Google that is likely to cause confusion among users.

So, Google File Stream isn’t work in Mac OS X High Sierra (10.13). You saw complicated directions about deleting Application Support files, like the DriveFS folder, closing Chrome, restarting.

None of them worked. This probably will. The solutions was so easy, I overlooked it.
Or expected that Google and Apple would have worked this out. It’s a permissions things.
Start Google File Stream. You will of course get the error message. Leave Google File Stream Open 3. Go to System Preferences - Security & Privacy Click on the ‘Allow’ button.
Put a checkmark beside Google, Inc. “ Hey, I know them!!:)” That really should do it. Have another try at signing into File Stream. If it’s still not working close File Stream, and start it again.:).
